Acts of Service:

  1. Donate to a local food bank.
  2. Volunteer at a soup kitchen.
  3. Pick an angel off the angel tree.
  4. Donate clothes and toys to Goodwill.
  5. Pay someone’s parking meter.
  6. Make sugar cookies for your neighbors.
  7. Take doughnuts to the police station.
  8. Give spare change to the Salvation Army.
  9. Buy a restaurant gift card and give it to a family walking in the restaurant.
  10. Donate food and old sheets and blankets to the animal shelter.

Family Activities:

  1. Play a board game like Monopoly or Sorry.
  2. Play a card game such as Uno or Go Fish.
  3. Construct a tent or fort in the living room. Pop popcorn and make hot cocoa, then get in and read a book.
  4. Have a family sleepover in the master bedroom. Order pizza and stay up a little late watching a movie, and then cuddle together all night.
  5. Make salt dough ornaments.
  6. Create paper snowflakes together and hang them around the house.
  7. Write out and mail Christmas cards to friends and family.
  8. Do a Christmas scavenger hunt. There are plenty of ideas and printables online.
  9. Go caroling.
  10. Have an indoor snowball fight with balled up socks. 

Places to Go:

  1. Visit Santa at the mall.
  2. See your local park’s Christmas lights.
  3. Go snow tubing or skiing.
  4. Check the Christmas events at your local museum.
  5. Visit a Christmas tree park.
