Reindeer and Santa Hot Cocoa Cones

Rein in the holiday spending with these reindeer and Santa Claus hot cocoa cones. Kids love to give as much as they receive. So put them in the driver’s seat this holiday season and empower them to make their own gifts.

Every Reindeer Hot Cocoa Needs:

  • 1 translucent piping bags
  • 2 hot chocolate envelopes or 2 cups of powdered hot cocoa
  • 1/3 cup of mini marshmallows
  • ¼ cup of chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 red pom pom ball
  • 2 craft eyes
  • 1 brown pipe cleaner
  • 1 rubber band
  • Elmer’s glue

Directions:

  1. Fill piping bag with 2 cups of hot cocoa mix or 2 hot cocoa envelopes
  2. Layer in 1/3 cup of mini marshmallows on top of powdered hot cocoa. Optional: add ¼ cup chocolate chips.
  3. Twist the top of the bag and tie using a rubber band.
  4. Wrap a brown pipe cleaner around the ribbon knot a few times and shape the two ends into antlers.
  5. Glue on two craft eyes and one red pom pom for the reindeer’s nose.
  6. Sit and let dry.

Every Santa Claus Hot Cocoa Cone Needs:

  • 1 translucent piping bags
  • 1 sandwich bag (use a fold over type, no zip top)
  • 2 hot chocolate envelopes or 2 cups of powdered hot cocoa
  • 3/4 cup of mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup of red peppermint candy (or any choice of small red candy)
  • 1 red pom poms
  • 2 craft eyes
  • Ribbon
  • Elmer’s glue

 Directions:

  1. Fill sandwich bag with 3/4 cups of hot cocoa mix and tie the bag. Set aside.
  2. Fill the second piping bag with 2 or 3 mini marshmallows. This will make the tip of Santa’s hat.
  3. Layer in 1 cup of red candies for Santa’s hat.
  4. Layer in ¼ cup of mini marshmallows on top of red candies. This will make the bottom of Santa’s hat.
  5. Insert hot cocoa-filled sandwich bag, placing on top of marshmallows to make Santa’s face.
  6. Add another ½ cup of mini marshmallows for Santa’s beard.
  7. Twist the bag tight and tie using a festive ribbon. Leave enough ribbon so you can curl the ends.
  8. Glue on two craft eyes and one red pom pom for Santa’s nose.
  9. Sit and let dry.
