Kids Activities: 7 Best Books for Boys

by Devin Berglund

Have you ever struggled with getting your boy to read? Does he seem more interested in being outside and riding his bike? Or has your son's teacher ever told you he doesn't really pay attention in his English reading classes?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, have you ever thought that maybe your son just isn't interested in the books his teachers are giving him to read?

It doesn't mean he dislikes reading. When my brother was young, his teachers gave him books he had no interest in reading, which led to him never reading the books.

As adults we go to bookstores and pick out books we'd be interested in reading. It's the same way for younger people. Because, of course boys wouldn't be interested in reading "girly" books.

Is your son the same way? If you think he might be, check out these top 7 books for boys. Helping your son find books that fit his interest and also build his imagination and creativity is a great way for him to begin loving to read.

Some of these books are for older boys and some are for younger. (Your girls will even love these books.) These are great books for story time. Think about reading a chapter book to him before bedtime. We hope you enjoy these great books as much as we do!
