Cupids Breakfast Bites

Heart shaped churro bites are an easy, quick breakfast recipe to make for your kids on Valentine’s Day! These hearts are a sweet and fun way to start the day.

Materials:

Bread

Cinnamon

Sugar

Butter

Eggs

Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, beat 3-4 eggs together thoroughly. Set aside.
  2. Take slices of bread and cut out heart shaped bites with the cookie cutter. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, mix together sugar, and cinnamon powder until you get your own desired color and taste; approximately 1 cup of sugar and 2 tablespoons of cinnamon. Set aside. Tip: For added color and taste add brown sugar!
  4. In a medium saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter and turn it on low-medium heat.
  5. In this order, dunk the bread pieces into the egg mixture. Skim off access egg and cover in the cinnamon and sugar. Then put them in the saucepan.
  6. Repeat these steps for as many breakfast bites as you want.
  7. Once cooked, dip them in the cinnamon and sugar one more time.

Then your done! Serve with butter or syrup and enjoy this Valentine's Day breakfast with your kids!
