Kids Kitchen: Holiday Cookies

Kids will love decorating these kid's kitchen cookie favorites.

Christmas Tree Cookie


  • 1 pkg. (16.5 oz.) NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Bar Dough
  • Frosting, decorator icing, sugar spinkles, candies and/or melted chocolate (optional)


  1. PREHEAT oven to 325 F. Grease large baking sheet.
  2. PLACE whole bar of dough in prepared pan. Allow to soften for 5 to 10 minutes. Using fingertips, pat dough gently to form tree shape.
  3. BAKE for 20 to 23 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes; carefully loosen cookie with spatula. Cool on baking sheet completely.

DECORATE as desired.

Star of David Chocolate Cookies:


  • 2 cups all-purpose flour  
  • 1/2 cup NESTLE TOLL HOUSE Baking Cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 package (16 oz.) prepared vanilla frosting


  1. PREHEAT oven to 350 F.
  2. COMBINE flour, cocoa and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in cocoa mixture. Shape dough into 2 balls.
  3. ROLL each ball of dough between 2 sheets of wax paper to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut with 2-inch star-shaped cookie cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheets; pierce with fork.
  4. BAKE for 8 to 10 minutes or until set. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely. Decorate with frosting.
