Kids Kitchen: Peanut Butter Bars with Nestle Butterfingers

These are the perfect Butterfinger bars for the peanut butter and chocolate lover on your holiday list! We decided to use Butterfinger Bites, but you can use the full size candy bars or substitute for the holiday varieties when they are in season!

  • 30 Nestle Butterfinger Bites
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda


  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F.
  2. Mix the brown sugar, peanut butter, butter and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy.
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract and gradually beat in flour and baking soda.
  4. Stir in the Butterfinger Bites.
  5. Press the mixture into 9-inch-square baking pan, distributing the Butterfinger Bites evenly.
  6. Bake for 25 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool completely in the pan on wire rack.
  8. Cut into bars and serve!

Serves: 16 (depending on the size of the bars you cut!)

NOTE: Try substituting Nestle Milk Chocolate Jingles for a different taste and look!

Cooking Tips:

  • Nestle and Butterfinger holiday candies are available mid-November through December.
  • Optional: Add Peanut Butter Frosting to the top of the pan after it is cooled.
